Scott Helton Wins Greco Roman Gold at the Junior Pan Am Games
10/24/2009 - Scott Helton, a former Jr. Duke and York High School wrestler won gold at the Junior Pan American Games held in Guadalajara, Mexico. Scott advanced to the finals and won gold on Friday October 23rd, 2009 defeating Puerto Rico 1-0, 1-0 in the 120kg/264.5lbs weight class. The Junior Pan American Games are for 18, 19 and 20 year olds.
Scott currently attends Northern Michigan University and is a part of the U.S. Olympic Education Center’s Greco Roman wrestling program. The USOEC Team sent 6 wrestlers to the Junior Pan American Games and all 6 advanced to the finals in their weight class in the Greco Roman wrestling category.
